I learned a lot about donestication from this video. I knew domestication was basically eugenic, but I didn’t realize it could happen in so few generations.

But to anyone considering “having a pet fox” don’t. Leave these animals alone they don’t need to be bothered by humans.

Also, they piss and shit everywhere. One of their territorial behaviors is to mark everything around them including themselves, so they’ll pee on the ground and roll in it.

    Foxes: very cute

    Also foxes: very gross

Just sounds like a cat or a dog.

These are not wild foxes, these are domesticated foxes.

TIL: the domesticated ones seemingly lean toward either a canine or feline demeanor, and take on physical characteristics of the same, depending on which they lean to, while becoming less like a fox in looks and behavior.

This smacks suspiciously of projection, because all the videos (The countless I have now watched haha) state how different foxes are from dogs and cats, and specifically the owners of five of these domesticated foxes say "they aren’t at all I’mlike a dog or a cat, because it’s a different animal. It would be like owning a horse and comparing it to a dog or a cat’

How ironic that you passively accuse me of “projection” and then claim to quote “five” “owners” without citing your reference. Curious. 😶

              Amazing.

              1. Not talking about you, unless your TIL “fact” is some snippet you’ve made up yourself.

              2. I don’t quote “‘five’ owners”, I quote the two owners of five of these foxes saying that a fox does not act like a dog or a cat in the same way a horse doesn’t act like a dog or a cat. Are you drunk?

              3. Your confusion is not curious. You misread and misinterpreted the comments without even watching the video referenced in the OP.

Hunh. Somehow even more telling. That tracks.

                1. You didn’t specify and continue with passive insinuation. Cute.

                2. Edited now, and yet even the corrected version doesn’t change the lack of citation.

                3. Ah, there’s the direct tantrum. Mid. What a joke.

                Bye, Felicia.

I specifically cited the reference and your errors.

You’re clearly just having trouble with words: you’ve ignored or definitely misunderstood all the comments and incorrectly used the words “specify”, “passive”, “insinuation”, “lack” “citation” and “tantrum”.

You also had that earlier trouble with “five”.

Tip: not a great idea to sign your name on social media

You can buy fox urine at Home Depot, Lowes, and Amazon. It’s a predator, so you can use said urine to scare away small animals as a form of pest control. It is strong, way worse then dogs, and more pungent/musky then cats. Having one as a pet means willingly submitting yourself to that because they just be peein’. Would definitely recommend if you’re ever considering getting one as a pet so you know what you’re getting yourself into.

Good to know i’m a pro with the old white vinegar spray bottle, but fox pee being stinkier than cat pee is good foot notes to the $9,000 price tag.
