I don’t think “a stack of sheet metal” counts as being in production. But 15 is still great!

I don’t think those are just the raw billets. V-022 at least appears to have already been machined with the Vulcan orthogrid pattern.

That’s impressive! They’re more serious than I expected.

Meanwhile, though, Falcon 9 booster 1062 has lainched and landed 21 times.

I want there to be competition so badly, but this… I dunno. I’ve lost all hope in United Launch Alliance.

Thanks! I’ve updated the embedded URL in the post.

Does appending &name=orig to the URL always fetch the highest quality image available?

Evidently. There’s a userscript called Eza’s Image Glutton that redirects.

Thanks, you just saved me several seconds, several times per day. Those seconds add up :)

      “We don’t talk about V-017” :)

I think the en dash in “V-016 – V-018” means “sixteen through eighteen” rather than “sixteen and eighteen”. We see the same thing with “V-019 – V-021” (nineteen through twenty-one).
