I have no clue what this person is talking about but I identify with the strong desire to be understood for nonsense connections that your brain insists are totally rational.

I actually think I know what they’re talking about, I have hit my head to the point of needing staples to close it, and I sure do remember a distinct “taste” in my mouth. I wouldn’t say it’s seafood but… There is something to it.

Idk if it’s just brain being stupid and sending wrong signals because of the trauma, but still…

I always thought the taste of a hard head hit was like how some (latex?) paint smells? It is almost like a clean fish smell!

This makes some sense to me

Hit head, bite tongue, taste blood. Blood is a bit metallic. Canned tuna sometimes has a metallic taste. I could see how someone might associate that with seafood.

Could also see a jostling of the brain just causing all kinds of random shit to be perceived just due to the brain freaking out for a moment.

No no, I can taste that too, there’s no blood or biting involved. Happens when i hit my head really hard, eyes go dark for a fraction of a second, and the taste appears.

Nah what this is is the person triggering their salivary glands and it’s salty just like the seafood they eat is salty.

Lick back up in the corners of your mouth by your upper molars. There’s a duct there that is salty.

Hmm, I have a taste that I associate with pain, but I don’t think it’s seafood. I don’t eat a lot of seafood though, doesn’t suit well with me.

Whenever I injure myself enough to bleed I get a metallic taste, kinda like the iron in blood I guess. I could see how someone else might get a more salt water seafood taste if this happened to them
