Wtf, this isn’t about which app is better it’s about variety! The fact sync is part of a list of options is what makes fediverse great - seems everyone in the comments agree 🤷♂️ gtfo with this sync hate. I’m a big Boost fan myself but im stoked sync is finally ready for those that’ve been waiting for it! 🥳
Yeah, I fully support FOSS, but I don’t think we need to be against small devs getting paid for doing high quality work. There’s no risk that sync will get too big and obtain consolidated power because the platform is distributed and you can easily switch clients. There will be lots of options for Lemmy, both FOSS and closed, but the important thing is that there are options.
