    Y’all means all.

    Weeeellll…… sorta. “Y’all” means everyone you’re talking to. “All y’all” means everyone you’re talking to plus everyone you’re talking about in the current context. That’s how I grew up using it anyway!

      The way I was raised, “all y’all” is everyone you are currently addressing, “some y’all” is a subset of the people, “y’all” is sort of ambiguous.

      That’s a very literal understanding of the contraction, yes.
