I feel like it could be a good thing, more new content to interact with and see. I’m hopeful that new communities will sprout that are completely unrelated from any reddit counterparts.
now that i think about it, that might be very beneficial for lemmy, there are some large communities out there that do not have stable place on reddit because of bad moderation or some other issues. creating communities that appeal to these fanbases would probably bring more users to lemmy.
