Gonna say it’s a weak argument to attack a strawman related to socialists living in capitalist systems. We don’t control where we are born and they are basically forced to live and act within it.

Like, don’t get me wrong, this guy is a shitheel and not a socialist but just anti-America.

You’re just also the fool. I’d likewise not shame a capitalist for living within a socialist system because, again. They can’t control where they are born. I’d just shame them for being a capitalist and wanting to spread pain and misery.

Just the fact that you think there are communist and capitalist countries makes it clear you haven’t the slightest idea what you’re talking about. Jesus Christ. How do you even begin to discuss politics and economics with someone like that? It’s like trying to discuss cellular biology with someone who thinks whales are fish and human races exist.

The propaganda is so strong and twisted in the USA you people can’t tell the meaning of words anymore! It’s truly sad and exhausting. Imagine believing republicanism and democracy have anything to do with the parties that bear those names. Imagine thinking that capitalism and communism are political opinions and that a communist country can even exist today. Have you the read anything by any respected economist even in your life, or does your deep knowledge of politics and economic systems come from memes and American TV? You probably believe what Fox news told you about northern European countries being socialist, too!

This thread is the prime example of the greatest victory of capitalism in this century. The system has made the working class so intentionally misinformed and confused that it would take too much effort to get us all to collectively understand even the most basic of political concepts. We’re doomed.

Can you expand more on why it isn’t possible for communist or capatalist countries to exist?

Communism and capitalism are worldwide economic systems, not ideologies or govermnent styles. Capitalism is the way human relations and the exchange of goods work in this era. A so-called communist country would still live in a capitalist world, even if it isolated itself from the rest of the planet like, say, the DPKR does, they still would have to participate in the market relationships with other countries.

Socialism, on the other hand, may be possible to a certain degree under capitalism as a transitive system. The same way there were transitional proto-capitalist efforts in several western countries towards the end of feudalism.

Whose boots do I lick? How am I a tankie? Tankies themselves think communist countries have existed and still exist. Stalin declared the USSR a communist country.

You’re more of a Stalin follower than myself, it seems!

              What a waste of oxygen.

I love how tankies can’t go 5 minutes without working themselves up into a froth about Americans despite literally no one bringing them up.

I’m a socialist, I’ve been homeless three times due to bullshit largely outside of my control. One of them with me TRYING to emigrate. I had to come back to this nightmare hell because I couldn’t get a long term visa in time. You can’t just…go. Everything is rife with bureaucracy because states don’t have open borders.

Am I tripping? I swear I have read that same comment on Reddit a few months ago already. Or is it a copypasta they use?

The astroturfers do get talking points that come up across accounts. I remember one a while ago where if you scrolled through Twitter their magic phrase of the day was something akin to “gaining on all fronts”. It was funny to see the parroting of that exact phrase in a bunch of different tweets

I’m not sure if it’s a copypasta, but it’s not an old comment. The time difference between taking the screenshot and posting was how long it took me to crop and censor usernames.

Most likely they just regurgitate the same talking points.

The argument usually seems to be coming from a “well if we all did it, this wouldn’t be an issue!” Perspective. Which, well, I don’t know. Doesn’t seem very revolutionary to me, at the very least. You’d think you’d want to be in a constant state of revolution, especially towards your dear leaders, in order to keep things heading in the right direction. I don’t know enough to say more than that.
