Edit: solved i just used a paid app that gives you 3 free downloads

Hey, so I have some downloads on Amazon Prime that I want to remove the DRM from, however I only find deleted posts on Reddit or some sketchy programs/sites I really don’t trust. Does any of you guys know how to remove the DRM?

I’m willing to do a lot of work if I have to as long as it’s free.

Also, if it is an application that does it, I’d prefer FOSS even if it’s inferior.

Maybe I can reward the first person with a solution with some movie of choice😉

I don’t think this is the kind of information that pirates like giving out publicly. Whatever they’re doing, they don’t want it to get patched

Can you not just download them outside of Prime through torrents or similar?

Part of the DRM is that it’s going to insist on a secure path to the display. It has the video decrypted in the gpu and sent directly to a secured HDMI port.

Now whatever you do, don’t go out and buy a cheap chinese HDMI-> USB 3 adapter that lies about its secure status…

Does Prime not have a browser client? Just record the screen.

Have you tried it? Have you tried taking a screenshot of Prime/any other streaming service playing a video?

Yeah, I just did. Works fine.

I didn’t try actually recording, but I can’t imagine it would be different.

If it’s just for one movie, wouldn’t the easiest option to play it and screen record it?

I assume this is something you can’t find a torrent for? You could always try the quick and dirty method of just taking a screen capture for the length of whatever it is you’re watching.
