Ah yes, biblical genders: the penetrator and the penetrated.

Come on, this one is funny but why pretend it was ever made by a right wing person in earnest? Everything about it screams classic mocking meme.

Do any of those strike you as not a parody?

None of them strike me as parody…. Plenty of folks behave as though they believe this stuff heartily. Many of them are in Milwaukee right now.

Parody and satire have taken a real beating in the last years so I’d say ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’ll counter and say even if they are… FB and insta morons gobble up parody. They have no idea what it is. You post this over there and I guarantee you’ll get 10,000 comments agreeing with it seriously.

None of them are parody. Some of them feel like parody, but the poster is dead serious.

If these were supposed to be parody, we’d see a few that weren’t subtle. If they were just riffing, some would be so hyperbolic that there would be no doubt that the poster wasn’t being serious.

Instead we have a mix of memes that either kinda feel like a joke, or come across as completely serious. We can assume that whoever uploaded these earnestly identifies with each of these.

That person is extremely stupid. Dangerously stupid, even.

I was also thinking this was already sarcastic/pre-memed.

The guy in this meme looks like he’s really into the patriarchy and horses for some reason.

I sure do wonder what movie this meme is from and on what platform I can watching it on. Hmmm.

I will never understand some memes. Okay so he’s sort of making some kind of face. I have literally no clue what emotion is expressed or what anyone thinks is being expressed. He looks maybe slightly frustrated but I can’t be sure. That’s funny in some manner?

I’m not sure what would be funny about this image either. I think he looks predatory more than anything else in this image. Maybe its just supposed to be relatable and the conservative who made this meme thought it would be cool/manly in some messed up way? Idk

Without movie context: blonde white man, traditional haircut, general frustration, devout determination

With movie context: he’s pissed that Barbie has so many freedoms and superior rights. It’s a woman’s world. Males are lower class and serve the women. And if you stop the movie 2/3 through, Ken/men take over the world in Barbie’s absence and take their revenge to live happily ever after. Conservative men tend to think the world has already been taken from them since they’re no longer supposed to catcall women walking, slap their secretaries’ asses, and generally blame this generally progressive trend for equal rights/freedoms as the reason they’re so unsuccessful in life. They don’t blame the economy, capitalism, imperialism, unsustainable growth, misrepresented postwar success, or politicized religious takes; they’ve been brainwashed to identify women as one of the outgroups taking away their resources in a zero sum game.

I don’t remember the scene, but the caption and something about it makes it feel like decisiveness, maybe frustration finally made into a plan.
