Malaria is a leading cause of child death, and it is preventable. We know it’s preventable because in wealthy countries we prevent it. It’s only allowed to spread in other countries because they are kept poor by the wealthy ones.

If these people were given the help they need rather than exploited and kept down, the parasite wouldn’t have as many opportunities to become resistant. This is not some unavoidable natural phenomenon, our economy demanded it.
