A lot of times it’s a call to see who is there and if it’s a real number. Someone who answers a random call is someone who the Indian tech support scammers can take a crack at.
Younger folks will just send a text.
The scammers are doing that with texts now too
I don’t even respond to or open texts from numbers I don’t know/aren’t expecting
It’s it’s real/important they’ll leave a message or send a letter
I like occasionally going through all the ridiculous right wing campaign ads, just to see what they’re falling for lol
