So, when an actual flagrant scam is exposed, they don’t want to talk about it because it shows how other cryptos aren’t actually a scam (although maybe a bad “investment”). It’s impossible to maintain ideological purity while recognizing any nuance.

I am one of those people that think that there only two use cases for crypto:
I disagree with the way you use the term ideologue. It is reasonable to view crypto as being defined solely by the two abovementioned use cases.
This is not a purely ideological viewpoint.
