Looking closely at Beijing’s ever evolving position on Russia’s war in Ukraine, it is clear the Chinese are thinking about it very differently from the West.
China has a vision for their place in the world, ie as a leader economically and politically. They see their form of government as the best one and they’re determined to prove it. They’ll do whatever it takes to attain that place in the world.
The US is the same, I happen to believe that the US vision for the world is better than China’s. Our vision will also sacrifice the wellbeing of hundreds of millions though.
How do you think the US is different?

I don’t. At least broadly in the ‘will do what’s right for them’ aspect.
