FlipVR, a new style of VR controller. It has the control panel (control buttons, thumbstick, grip, and trigger), which normally placed on the palm side of the hand, can be flipped (jumped up) to the back of the hand with a simple twist of the wrist. While flipped, you can grab a drink, control a keyboard or mouse, or play an instrument in the real world without losing your hand position tracking. The control panel can be easily flipped back to its original position.

    People who buy those already have index controllers probably. Wich they can just slip onto their wrists. So what’s the big deal with this one? Is it really that good for people drinking in VR chat?

        But at the same time not very niche at all. If you do for instance any keyboard typing while in, or in between, VR sessions this seems lovely. I love my Index controllers because of how they’re strapped to my hands, but God damn is it annoying if you have to interact with any other physical object, because you can’t put them down quickly. These solve that issue and all of a sudden you can use the keyboard, mouse, coffee cup, water bottle, phone, cat, lamp, girlfriend… the list goes on and on.

      The Index controllers are never really out of the way for anything. And sliding them down your wrists is uncomfortable, awkward, not practical for all wrist sizes, etc.

      I personally think the Index controllers are overhyped and terrible. They are awkward, didn’t live up to their promise for finger “tracking”, make your hands sweat, they are bulky, the straps are never quite the right tension, they had durability problems, etc etc.

      I’m not sold on these, but I can see why others are. And why people in the club scene or who are performers would give them a shot.

      I sure miss the original CV1 Touch controllers.
