I’ve stopped trying with the cat beds at this point… She’ll sleep on it for like a week then never touch it again her favorite place to sleep now is any freshly opened shipping box lol

Same. Our cats prefer cardboard boxes cut down to be about 3” walls vs a commercial cat bed.

Try putting it in an elevated position. Most cats will like and use it more, even if it’s only 2 or 3 feet off the ground.

For flat beds like the one in the picture they should be up high.

My cat has one on top of a bookcase in my office that is her go to spot (seriously the nice cat tree I got her is only used for scratching and as a platform to get to the bed).

Enclosed beds usually work better on the ground as it allows them to feel safe.

Just because your human brain can’t understand how he’s using it, doesn’t mean he’s not using it.

I can’t tell if this is meaningless silliness or if it’s profound wisdom. All I really know is that just because my human brain can’t know which it is doesn’t mean it isn’t one or the other.

Cats like boxes and whatnot, because they provide protective cover. Obviously, laying into the bed would provide more cover, but laying next to the bed still provides one wall of cover. He is using the bed as cover.

Raise it up off the ground to at least table height and add sprinkle in some catnip. My cat does the typical feline thing of rotating her roosts, so she’ll hang out in her bed for a week or two, then you’ll always find her in one of the kitchen chairs, then she’ll always be in the recliner, etc.
