    But also, the angry father of a 13-yr old who says he’ll “probably” teach them sex education himself instead of trusting the schools to do it…buddy, you are already behind the times.

      Being real though, sex education in schools is hit-or-miss at best. At best, they hit the basics of puberty and pregnancy, with some coverage of stds. There’s likely outliers that do a better job, but there’s way more that don’t even cover the basics well.

      The problem is that a lot of parents don’t even understand the basics, and may well have no ability to teach a subject at all. Any subject, teaching is actually a skill. Teaching well is more of an art mingled with science.
