    Being real though, sex education in schools is hit-or-miss at best. At best, they hit the basics of puberty and pregnancy, with some coverage of stds. There’s likely outliers that do a better job, but there’s way more that don’t even cover the basics well.

    The problem is that a lot of parents don’t even understand the basics, and may well have no ability to teach a subject at all. Any subject, teaching is actually a skill. Teaching well is more of an art mingled with science.
