I don’t know about mustard, but tajin on watermelon is pretty damn delicious.
I love tajin. It’s great on cucumber with salt and lime juice too

There’s something weird going on with tajin. I like the basic idea of it, salt, chilli powder, some cayenne for heat, pepper, garlic, onion, maybe some lime/lemon. But there is something extra in tajin that doesn’t mix well with my taste buds.
Could be brand based. Some have more loose plastic/arsenic/rat feces than others.
I love when my food has extra arsenic personally.
So, ditto. Something is different about the pre packaged “tajin”.
Like all things on TikTok, this “trend” is worth actively ignoring.
I uhh… I like mustard… I don’t want to try this.
Mustard has a time and a place. This isn’t it.
Watermelon has such a subtle taste that I’m pretty sure that you’re not going to taste the watermelon over the mustard.
… Might as well be eating soggy bread or something.
It would be similar to adding mustard to cucumbers I guess. Adding a new texture to mustard, trying not to mix flavors

Well pickles and cucumbers are not the same. Pickles and mustard go very well together (see: Hotdog) I am talking about the classic, salad type cucumber
I didn’t expect putting watermelon on a grill to work either… fuck it… worse case scenario I take a bite and it tastes like ass. Not the end of the world.
I’d try it.

Watermelon cubes work great as a juicy summer salad. If it goes Well with vinaigrette why not mustard?
I was told cucumber with sugar and cinnamon tasted like watermelon. It doesn’t.
The question is can I feed my cat a strict diet of mustard-melon?

I don’t think it’s that far fetched. Pickled watermelon is delicious, melon with prosciutto is delicious. Sweet, salty, and vinegar are an age old combination.
