Adoptaversary, also known as gotcha day!

I pet sit for my best friend and his husband fairly often.
And they’ve been known to leave some funds for his adoption day when they’re away then on business. Me and my little buddy party it up! Doggie ice cream, new toys, and even a doggie beer lol.
It used to be we’d all get together for their dog’s adoption day, and my dog’s birthday and do essentially the same thing. But they started their own businesses, so there’s more travel, and my dog isn’t around any more. So it’s been me and my little buddy (their dog) for his day the last two years.
Then again, me and the pooch party every day I’m there lol. He’s a high energy little fella, and we ball hard. And then cuddle while we nap to recover :)
Why are humans the only ones eating? It’s the dog’s day!
