    Where’s the part where they try to sell you that this restriction is “ackshyually” freedom, and then plop some whataboutism?

        Yeah, so it’s not just that you’re selling a human necessity for a premium over market rates, but also getting huge government subsidies to deepen that profit margin.

      You can’t just build shelter and grow food. All the land, clay, and wood is owned by someone else. You need to earn your land, clay, and wood. But we will give you some free food. We won’t give you shelter, we were playing with the idea and kind of set it up, but decided to not really do that. We allow you to temporarily set up tents in our woods and pick some foods there, but you can’t plant anything and you have to pay us if you want to hunt our animals, and if you camp in one place too long the forest police will arrest you. If you camp in our cities, we’ll have the normal police chase you around. Maybe break your stuff, maybe beat you up. Sometimes we’ll go farther. Don’t camp in our cities.
