There are plenty of racists in the queer community, unfortunately. I mean, we’ve all seen the Log Cabin Republicans acting shocked about the leopards eating their faces, but there’s plenty of casual racism, too.

So imagine existing in a culture where hate and fear of out-groups is a large part and now imagine that you’re also part of one of those out-groups but less hated than the main out-groups.

It’s a survival technique:

“Pwease accept us, we’ll still join you in hating the other groups that you do, just please don’t hate me specifically.”

You know, this actually seems kind of fun. Fly this and a BLM flag, and anyone who it pisses off is pretty clearly admitting that their “heritage” actually is just pride in racism and homophobia.
