When I was a little kid, I thought that song was about Scooby Doo because “Shadooby” sounds kind of like Scooby and kids are dumb.
There was something about the way “shattered” was said that reminded me of the band at Chuck E Cheese’s. There must have been a song, or one of the animatronics must have had a similar voice… I have no idea, but that was always my strong association
