    lol

Sucks to suck! Jk. It’s just wild how much money gets spent on these things and all for nothing, basically. Crazy when you realize they make something like this and don’t even ask if fans will enjoy it

That said, I’m ‘gunna’ wait until Gunn’s first movie before I completely right off my dreams of a DC universe that’s on the same level as dark knight. I’m sure it would never be as r rated but I don’t think that’s entirely necessary, as much as I’d personally like it to be

more than anything it just seems like a massive waste of leverage for Phillips. he’ll probably still get to make movies but never gonna get a long leash to make whatever he wants again. all for a joker musical.

If you’re referring to The Last Jedi, it made $1.3 billion on a $300 million profit. Joker 2 is set to flop.

If you’re referring to The Last Jedi (which wasn’t nearly as bad as Joker 2 apparently is, and at least it wasn’t a fucking musical) - that was a pretty different situation with swapping directors in the middle of a trilogy, which was more of a problem with Disney than RJ imo. I’d still be confident giving RJ his own projects and coming out with a good product.

Here Todd Phillips just proved he could go completely off the deep end with his own sequel, meanwhile telling the studio to fuck off any time they talked to him.

Just found out Joker 2 is a musical. Lol

Such a massive fail. You just can’t do that after the great first one.

I watched it, it’s not even a musical, it has musical breaks from the story. There’s one song that’s performed while moving the story along, the rest stop it in it’s tracks. Joker should’ve been a standalone film.

Honestly don’t see where the story could go from the first one in any good way. It was a perfect standalone

What they should’ve done, in my opinion, is at least focus on the fallout of Arthur killing Murray. They were partially there with the courtroom scenes and plot line, but showing more of the breakdown in Gotham as the trial goes on would’ve been good. Just axe the whole Harley plot line. As the case goes on more unrest and rioting occurs until finally the guilty verdict is given causing Joker supporters to erupt and raid the courthouse, freeing Joker. Also spoiler here: >!have the ending stay very similar to the actual film where the explosion at the courthouse sets Joker free, but then ultimately gets caught again then killed by the Heath Ledger Joker in Arkham. It doesn’t make sense in the context of the actual film because there’s no setup for it but it could work in this alternative version if you give a build up to that eventual payout.!<

          What do I know though

It’s the reason I noped out. I’m not a fan of musicals. Then they added a trendy pop star to it, killing the whole thing

The whole movie spits on all the characters. Harley isn’t even called Harley. Harvey Bullock is Ernie Bullock for some reason. The rest seem made up and not from the comics

The original was never meant to be comic book accurate, so why expect the sequel to be as well?

They established a world with rules. Now they shit all over those rules and it’s suddenly a different universe where people break into song

Just like how the first film showed that not everything we saw was what actually happened and a lot of it is just unreliable narration?
