      For some, maybe. I fear though, that God isn’t a real force in most of their lives except when they can wield God as a weapon against the vulnerable

        In my experience, Christians view their faith as a tool they can use by twisting it into a cudgel and beating anyone who disagrees into submission.

        Whether they’re consciously willing to vocalize that on the other hand…

      It’s not hard to just say, no, you don’t know the will of god.

      It’s why we have so many different sects.

        Though I agree, I believe if it were to happen it would either be very slow, or instantly cause a third party to emerge.

      Multiple books in the Bible praise intelligence, knowledge, and wisdom as gifts from God. There’s no lack of God telling people to quit being stupid.
