Hey everyone,
As you may know, Analogue has traditionally always had annual mid October announcements. Mostly following along with this reddit post, their timeline has been:
- October 16th, 2023: Analogue 3D announced
- October 16th, 2022: Pocket preorders, Pocket cartridge adapters, and final run of the Super Nt and Mega Sg announced
- October 16th, 2021: Analogue OS announced
- October 16th, 2020: Duo announced
- October 16th, 2019: Pocket announced
- October 16th, 2018: Mega Sg announced
- October 16th, 2017: Super Nt announced
I’m hoping to see some more news/information about the Analogue 3D, along with Pocket DAC support… 🥴

I’m looking forward to more information on the Analogue 3D. But I don’t trust 8bitDo to do the joysticks justice. It’s also going to be like a quadrillion hundred dollars plus shipping and import taxes. So it’ll be a really hard decision 😅
I’ve never used 8bitDo products before, but have ordered an Ultimate Controller from them (on sale). Are their products not reliable?
I have 3 8bitDo controllers and they’re great. I even prefer them over the Switch Pro Controller. The Pro 2 is awesome, and my SN30 has so much use on it, I had to get replacement rubbers (for free, from 8bitdo) for the sticks since I wore them out!
However, the Nintendo 64 stick is very particular. I bought their N64 Mod Kit and joystick, and the joystick is ok. It’s not great though. For games where the joystick precision is important, you can notice a big difference. And if I’m paying hundreds of dollars for a “premiun N64”, I’d expect a better reproduction of the N64 stick than what they did with the Mod Kit. We haven’t heard anything new since the first teaser, I have some hope. But the N64 controller stick is so particular… We’ll see!
