Right, at this point any answer to this question is essentially just guessing.
But since we’re just guessing… looking into the future of Analogue, 4k editions of their previous products do seem feasible I think. But I mean this is just a hope. I have no idea.
But yeah, the retroUSB AVS is a well regarded competitor to the Analogue Nt/Nt mini line, so it is worth consideration
Analogue has directly stated that the 3D will not support openFPGA 😭
Does Analogue3D support openFPGA? openFPGA is not supported on 3D.
Thank you for sharing!
The product is impressive, and cheaper than I was expecting. I love the look of the controller too.
However… the DAC… well I think it’s RIP. i don’t think I can give Analogue any more money considering this :(
I opened the cartridge and used 99% IPA and a few cotton swabs to clean the cartridge contacts. Nothing super significant though, the contacts seemed pretty clean. Then I took an air duster and gave the whole cartridge a significant blasting, but really it looked completely dust free as far as I could tell. then I also replaced the battery with a new one.
As for the console, I was much more gentle with it. Basically just blasted it heavily with the electric air duster. Tried to get in all the nooks and crannies. Again it looked pretty clean really (but the external chassis of the Nt mini definitely needed a good wipe too, it was somewhat dusty)
Filled out a support request email from krikzz, but haven’t heard back yet. I think the cartridge is definitely dead, so we’ll see what he says
These look great! But I am pretty irritated about DAC support for the Pocket (and Duo) still not being available 😔

LOL I love this
I’m kinda torn on this. On one hand, it looks totally sick, I love the look/feel of aluminum and I love my Nt mini Noir. But being handheld kinda makes this more awkward? The weight and feel of the aluminum might be strange. But more than anything else, I’m just really unhappy about the DAC support for the Pocket. It’s so long overdue. I’m unhappy with the showing of Analogue’s priorities here.
I don’t have a Duo, but this probably helps? Is it known to have some noise issues?
What TimeWalker said is correct, but just to provide direct links:
Yeah I mean I think it’s great, if you wanna play any of the games that your Pocket plays, just on your TV, and you maybe already have one of the supported controllers, I think it’s perfect. Especially if you don’t already have a GameCube + Gameboy Player.
However at the end of the day, that’s what it does, it let’s you play those games on your tv. So I don’t think there’s much of a “wow” factor, which is totally fine. I wish it was like, just a tiny bit cheaper, and had DAC support, but still I’m happy with it.
Thanks for posting!
I think the main thing I’m looking forward to are those new Pocket OS updates 👀 Kinda begging to finally get DAC support, which appears to be missing here 😭 Also I have a white Pocket so would’ve loved to have gotten a white dock too, but eh it’s okay, the black one is totally good.
Anyone here have a Duo on preorder? I passed on it too, but I’m kinda wondering if I’m gonna get fomo (probably… 😅)
Here are some reviews of the RetroUSB AVS:
Thank you for posting!!
And yes I’m very excited for this also. The 8bitdo pairing is really interesting too, I agree that very few modern joysticks have truly ever felt like a real good replacement for what the N64 had (while also overcoming the particularly unreliable joystick that the original one was…)
Can’t wait to learn more 👀
Homie… 💀
Thank you!!
Is a link available to the actual original artist/tweet/pixiv?
Just another obvious racist dog whistle from just another right wing ghoul
That guy committed crimes against humanity. What a thorough grifter
Still no DAC support for Pocket 😭
