        Yeah, it was pretty common at the time. Before China was used for all manufacturing, everything but especially especially electronics were expensive to buy.

      In Scandinavia, in the 80s, I remember we had the moviebox, a little VCR in “suitcase” you could rent.

      From what I remember it only had an RF output, and the picture quality was less than stellar, even for VHS.

    We never rented a VCR, but we did rent a Sega Genesis from the blockbuster several times.
