    Headline unfortunately dissolves upon inspection:

Mr Mylvaganam said one of the speakers at the asylum seeker rally was capsicum sprayed by police.

“I spoke with our marshalling team, and the information I received is that the police pepper-sprayed our group well before they took any action against the neo-Nazis.”

“[The neo-Nazis] were pepper sprayed, but they were allowed to continue with their march after that,” he said.

Police pepper spray asylum seekers, and then neo-nazis might more accurately describe the events.

Nothing says “I’m confident in my beliefs and the righteousness of my cause” like dressing up as a member of the Foot Clan every time you congregate in public.

Not if you’re an agent of the state, oh my god. That’s a bad thing. Dropkick your local Nazi as a random person, but cops doing this isn’t good.

Why, are you afraid the neo-nazis will respond with sarin gas or something?

The reason chemical weapons are prohibited in war is because chemical warfare using mustard gas, sarin gas, etc. is horribly painful to people, and affects anyone in the area, including medical personnel, civilians, and prisoners of war. Using pepper spray and tear gas in riot control doesn’t have that problem.

          riot shields?

Ahh yes, riot shield, standing there, menacingly, until rioters decided to disperse by themselves.

          Cordoning off specific areas?

Ahh yes, cordoning off the area and the rioters will never find way through it.

          Arrests?

Ahh yes, arrest, where the rioters will willingly cooperate.

I can’t believe this site thinks cops attacking protestors (even Nazis) is totally cool and good.

it’s very much depend on who did the protest and what the protest is about.

It’s nazi, it’s cool and good, It’s fucking nazi dude, not a hill worth dying on. It’s good that cop punch bad people and nazi are bad people deserved to be punched. It’s a circle block in a circle hole, the reaction is just fitting. No one defending their right exactly because they are nazi.

I guess you missed the part of the article where the cops just let the Nazis continue harassing people after the pepper spray was deployed.

You can’t both protest on the right to not get pepper sprayed and then also protest against the right to protest. You could’ve point out the protestor is the first one getting pepper sprayed and then the nazi, then we have a case, but nope you have to defend the nazi but missed the one worth defending.

Dude, I’m pro-civil rights, not pro-Nazi. I don’t want cops attacking people. When the cops leave, attack the Nazis, but cops are an arm of the government. Forgive me that I’m not cheering about the state’s monopoly on violence and the zeal they demonstrate when using it.

It’s good that cop punch bad people

            Ew. Lol. Gross and disgusting.

Even before I looked at the AU domain, somehow I knew this was not Melbourne Florida. Unfortunately.
