Am I missing something? I’ve never played it on steam but the game is free and enjoyable; I’ve yet to feel obligated to spend any money on microtransactions.

The problem I think is that they’ve promised a coop story mode, which was to be the defining feature of it. They cancelled it, so it’s just overmatch. They also decided to change the team size to a more standard 5 instead of the previous 6, which means some friend groups probably have to break up

Yeah they changed some stuff people got pissed off over, but I still think the game is fun to play. There’s no way it’s objectively the worst game on Steam, the fanbase is just overly butthurt. Not saying some of the user concerns aren’t warranted, but this is clearly a case of review bombing rather than an objective score.

Overwatch 2 is a scam. When they sold Overwatch, they promised that any campaign content would be provided for no extra charge. But now they want to profit from campaigns and they got the brilliant idea to re-release Overwatch as Overwatch 2.

Oh and now it’s a f2p game with a brand new f2p monetization model, despite the fact that many people have already paid full price for it with the expectation of not having to deal with a f2p model.
