Do you think it would be possible (and how could we get it done?) to unite millions of people who collectively agree to target an individual company for a short time unless the company meets our demands? For example, for the month of March we all pledge to not purchase anything from Apple unless Apple does XYZ… Either they do it, or we tank their stock… Move on to the next company target

Sure, but i bet the news of a 10 million people saying they’re going to boycott would still hurt their stock price

Really? How can I MORE boycott them than I already do?

I don’t think you actually understand just how much money Apple has. They shrug off billion dollar fines like ducks shrug off water. I think the idea only works if it’s a significant portion of their revenues.

It’s not about the actual boycott… It’s about the threat of millions of people boycotting dropping the stock price… And Apple was just an example, could start with an easier target

Look up Right Wing bigot and homphobe Jerry Falwell.

Back in the day he decided that he wanted to take over the Republican Party. He had a simple plan. He found every local GOP clubhouse and made sure to show up every time there was a vote. Deciding who was going to be the next county clerk? If there’d been twenty people at the last meeting the Falwell people would arrive with fifty. In 1976 Nelson Rockefeller of NY was a popular choice to be Ford’s VP. By 1980 he was a dirty Liberal.

Do you know where your local Dem clubhouse is? How it works? Who is in charge?

Not yet… Recently moved to a new state, but back in my old state I was active with my county Dems and started my own Dems in my small town… I’ll get back to it here soon
