    The only way to create that much volume at a low price is to have high yields with no quality control. That RAM will be a gamble.

      Or just subsidize the loss to kill manufacturing in South Korea. It’s the same approach with solar panels and probably what’s going on with EVs.

      Edit: The article actually just states plainly that’s what’s going on. They’re subsidizing the manufacturing to ensure the manufacturers don’t have to worry about profitability right away. Same strategy they used with solar panels, where they now have over production.

      Idk, it’s Chinese. Wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t up to spec or didn’t have the capacity it claimed.
