argh, i have to open my blu ray player, disc is stuck inside, the tray opens, the disc is in there
also, i really hate apple tv , a lot
the streaming service or the device?
device
it’s just set up very badly
I’d like to be one of those people who feels compelled to buy a book every time they go into a book store, but they’re like $20 for even a basic paperback. I don’t want to drop that much every time I go look at books
Depending on how voracious a reader you are, Kindle Unlimited may be worth investigating. I go through about 4 books a week, so the service ($14/mo) must have saved me about $1,000 by now.
i usually prefer ebooks, cheaper and doesn’t take up space
They’re free at the library :)
I used to do that but the cost of books now are pretty high so I’ve stopped buying them.
Always check Big W first.
mrs B has started BG3. And I am so so excited to watch her play and talk to her about it. Shes gonna love it!
One day I’'ll get around to finishing it…one day
Your only denying yourself. Its amazing.
I’ve been playing it a little (I’m only like 2 hours in) and I love it, but just haven’t had the brain power for it!
yeah its certainly not an “any time” game. You really gotta be in the right mood.
i think i am in a long distance situationship and that is exactly right at this point of my life
so long as the long distance isn’t so long that you cant occasionally get into situational activities with them, sure! Edit: everyone deserves a good activity ever now and then.
We will be in nearby universes that makes activities possible
Long-distanceship!!! 💜💜💜 Yaaaaaaasss girl!!!

Thank you Chef. I particularly liked the third from the left. The second from the bottom needed anchovies for true perfection but was perfectly edible - even tasty. The top right hand one - delicious, certainly innovative, but was rhubarb really the wisest choice?
Beef brisket on-top of parmesan mashed potatoes please
Two members of my household tested positive for COVID today and I have symptoms but tested negative. Time to sit and watch some movies for the rest of the week maybe.
Movie recommendations please!
Yep, it’s definitely going around again.
If you enjoy action thrillers, try Predestination with Ethan Hawk.

Also trains are awesome, but that’s just common knowledge :)
So the good thing about discovering i needed to raise the ground level of the food garden area is that when i’m digging out the pathway alongside and leading up to it i can just hurl the shovelfulls about three feet. And I don’t have to sift and weed overmuch (apart from the most egregious) since it’s all going under geo anyway. Much time save, me likey
Please tell us your secret of how you can remain outside without sneezing your head off.
She’s impervious to the hay.
Well, I am jealous.
And I’m suffering
said it before and I’m sure I will say it again: Boys highschool sex ed should be bringing in a new dad whos got a kid in daycare and ask them “how many times you been sick this year?”. You’d scare the crap out of them.
Giving them a toddler to care for for a day would also work
1 toddler per teenager, that is
thats the issue though. When they are cute (which lets be honest, is a LOT of the time) youd fall in love.
Last day of leave :(
Buuuuut, only 4 weeks till another 3 weeks of leave!
god is it only 4 weeks till Christmas?
5 Weeks
MOVIES!! I love movies.
Austin Powers International Man of Mystery commentary. Was not enlightening other than finding out Mindy Sterling is a total comedic genius who made her own character and ad libbed her lines.
Passengers. Still a very beautiful movie in every way.
I hate ordering stuff online, I think I get anxiety over waiting for things to get shipped and if it’s in stock and then for it to arrive.
I love ordering stuff online. I get to spend my time, compare lots of different things easily, and can focus on the most important aspects (like measurements or technical specifications). I tend to put it out of my mind once I’ve ordered it, and instead of getting anxious waiting it’s more like a happy surprise when it turns up!
I kind of feel like that, but also get anxious. I can’t visualise anything, and although I know how long a centimetre/metre are, I can visualise how big 1.37 metres is in my space without a tape measure (which only kinda helps), so I hate purchasing size based things online. For general things, I do prefer online though. But expensive things give me buyer’s remorse, I guess cause of the lack of instant gratification
I’m more worried about stuff being out of stock by the time it comes to ship and then waiting for it and not knowing where exactly they’re going to deliver the item to.
I’m the same because I don’t like surprises unless you say you have a surprise and show me immediately.
Exactly, it’s like teasing me with something but I must have it now!
I’ve just signed myself up for a couple of days of gardening at my Mum’s place. The good part of this is that I get to go wild plant shopping - I need a bunch of hardy sun-loving plants to go in a border and a couple of planter boxes. I’m thinking mostly natives, but will have to see what I can find.
If you venture down southeast: garden world and diacos.
At the moment I’m going the quick and cheap option and will just see what is low cost at Bunnings. The plan is to sell the place some time next year so I don’t want to put too much into it - mostly I just want to remove a patch of self-seeding cherry tomatoes that have been growing up and getting out of control every summer! If all goes to plan next year we should have a new garden to put some real effort into.
