    To be fair, they’re saying just to be able to step in as opposed to being in control all the time like military drones.

      Imagine a 9to5 where every few minutes you are thrown in a life and death situation. Who wants to have the trolley-problem job, eh?

        I doubt the human operators will be used for split-second accident avoidance. That’s not a job that is well-suited to humans. I suspect it will mostly be getting stuck vehicles out of ambiguous or unexpected situations, like Waymo already does.
