    How many government assistance dollars does Tesla have to give back?

    (/s, I don’t think any were specifically tied to self-driving cars. Just pointing out a pattern of big claims with relatively few results)

    To be fair, they’re saying just to be able to step in as opposed to being in control all the time like military drones.

      Imagine a 9to5 where every few minutes you are thrown in a life and death situation. Who wants to have the trolley-problem job, eh?

        I doubt the human operators will be used for split-second accident avoidance. That’s not a job that is well-suited to humans. I suspect it will mostly be getting stuck vehicles out of ambiguous or unexpected situations, like Waymo already does.
