This update adds the much request feature, multi-communities. Multi-communities allow you to group multiple communities into one and view it as a single feed.

You can find the option to add a multi-community on the Home screen’s overflow menu (tap the 3 dots at the bottom right).

Change log:

  • Added support for multi-communities
  • Added setting to disable auto-linking phone numbers
  • Changed the behavior of tapping an image in the card and large list layout. Tapping an image of a link post will no longer expand the image, instead it will open the link.
  • Changed the UI for card/large list layout. Indicate when an image will open in the browser.
  • Handle more network/server errors.
  • Fixed a UI bug with the comment editor when the keyboard is expanded.

Known bugs:

  • If you have a multi-community created from one instance and switch to another instance, if the multi-community includes a community that is not available in the current instance, a “page not found” error is shown even if it’s just one community that cannot be found. The ideal solution is (1) show a message indicating which communities are not found on that instance and (2) load the read of the posts as normal.

Dude, first with mod tools, first with multis. You’re trying to dominate lemmy lol

Just messed around with multis. Everything is so smooth in that regard. It automatically puts them in the bookmarked list, selecting C/s is easy and intuitive. Bloody brilliant sir!

Hello. I deleted the Github apk. I installed it from Google play. I’m getting a weird error right now. My gestures are normally set to upvote, mark read, save post. I created a cryptocurrency multicommunity. And my gestures just seem to save. But in my normal communities, there is no problem. Also no problem is the technology multicommunity.

This might be related to the other bug you reported which is that the gesture size doesn’t seem to work. That issue is not that gesture size doesn’t work but that the gesture size doesn’t update. In other words you need to restart the app to update the gesture size or open a new community.

What I assume happened was you changed the gesture size to 0 (so only the last gesture will work) and then opened this community. Then you changed the gesture size again and opened another community. Then, this community is stuck with the 0 gesture size. To test this theory, this issue should go away if you close the app and relaunch it.
