This is a genuine question.

I have a hard time with this. My righteous side wants him to face an appropriate sentence, but my pessimistic side thinks this might have set a great example for CEOs to always maintain a level of humanity or face unforseen consequences.

P.S. this topic is highly controversial and I want actual opinions so let’s be civil.

    Yes but hopefully he will have some traumatic story that just gives him a light sentence.

    It’s still wrong, but when you agitate someone, the punishment for them punching you should be less.

      Sentancing requires him to be convicted…

      If he is convicted, we as society didn’t do our part here.

      No crime was committed so why would this chad get convicted

        I rather say murder is wrong but give a slap on the wrist for edge cases than to say murder is right in certain edge cases, regardless if it’s morally justified.
