    Ehhh, it could work, I just don’t know that it would have the same degree of fan response.

    The concept is good, and there’s already plenty of extended universe out there, which means there’s room to move forward in time and tell a good story of a slayer that makes it into her forties and is still fighting. Depending on how much of the original cast would come back, there could be a lot of cool shit to do.

    Problem: repeat enemies can’t really come back. Neither can Spike or Angel because, well the actors just couldn’t make it work at their age. There’s only so much age you can erase when the character isn’t supposed to age at all. So you’d be kinked limited in the use of recurring characters from the original series. Since there’s a huge fanbase that’s going to whine like crazy that they aren’t there…

      Agreed. Case in point: the aged Data in Picard did not work at all

      They could do something like wax dummy for a death scene or CGI de-aging. It can be expensive but I could see it happening just for one scene to say they were included in the new show but also explain them away after 1 scene and not have them show up again. Or maybe reincarnation?
