According to the linked article, 6 people died at Action Park.
According to a personal injury law firm, 83 people have died at Disney parks. OSHA fined Disney in 5% of deaths, and further 14% were settled by Disney. Since settled means guilty but rich, we can safely assume Disney is responsible for at least 15 deaths.
Even a park run by drunk teenagers killed fewer people than Disney, so that’s cool.
All Disney parks together see a lot more people than just the one Action Park, and Disneyland alone opened long before Action Park. It would be a lot more interesting to see the proportion of visitors who die, not just the magnitude.
I think it’s more interesting that a company with the size and popularity of Disney can get away with killing at least 15 people, whereas action park got shut down and cleaned up after only 6.
