i like rhythmbox a lot and it’s so great to use it as a music player but most of my music files don’t even have any metadata it’s just “song-name-author.opus” so it’s a lot for me which is why i would use vlc instead yea!!! but anyway ummm why does xfce or gnome use rhythmbox??
Foobar2000 works fine.
If you want useless default apps, look no further than the Gnome Terminal.
Do yourself a favor and download MusicBrainz Picard.

That’s fair. Though “simple” for me is actually having meticulously sorted and tagged media. That way it displays reliably and beautifully in most any player.
Probably because it’s long standing and fully featured. It’s been going since 2001 after all.
Uh, what was it in Artix again? One of the tools i usually uninstall on initial setup since i use mpv for music.
