If they catch bird flu, we all catch bird flu. This idiocy should still be discouraged.

Yeah, normally I’m all for morons taking themselves out of the equation, but as with Covid, it won’t be the morons that are most affected. It will be the sick, the poor, the old, and the young.

Case fatality rate could be up to 50%. As mild cases are almost certainly entirely uncounted and the version that passes person to person will be a different variant we don’t know if we are looking at something like covid or a fast moving black death.

Until we need something that can’t be delivered, like medical care.

And I guess fuck all the people who have to do things like keep the supply chain running so you can have your groceries delivered by someone with a “necessary” job being paid very little money?

And fuck all the people who can’t afford to have their groceries delivered too, I guess…

Meh supply chain, I did that before. Masking and isolation worked well enough. I do feel for the medical workers though. Too many of them didn’t have safe options last time around.

Of course masking and distancing are good and helpful precautions. But they’re not enough on their own to protect vulnerable people or people whose jobs mean they can’t isolate. One of the best ways for everyone to help each other is mass vaccination, and if the Republicans obstruct this they will be killing a lot of people who cannot simply keep out of the virus’s way. It sounds to me like you’re probably young, healthy and not working in a factory, a farm, a warehouse, an old people’s home or a hospital, but not everyone is in that position.

How exactly do you think food gets from a farm to your table?
