    It’s sounds like the people appealing are ones claiming they didn’t know it was non-consensual. Definitely a little messed up, but given the numbers I could believe a couple just trusted the husband.

      I know you are not implying this but just to clarify for the people in the back:

      If you don’t have lucid, clear and ongoing consent from the person, you are raping them. Anyone at that trial saying “but I thought she gave permission because her husband told me so.” Is a rapist.

      It’s not “a little” messed up, nor is believing a single fucking word out of these rapists mouths, and making excuses for them. Both are outrageously appalling. Do better.

        Even people who have committed despicable crimes are entitled to due process.
