I don’t want any fuckin’ Nazis, anywhere. I don’t want to deal with them. It’s not about being “like-minded.” It’s a matter of basic human decency. Some standards are not negotiable. Some questions have a right answer.

I especially don’t want any idiot cranks in a context where I can’t tell them “stop lying, fuck you.” Enforced civility is a failure of moderation. It’s not the alternative to an echo chamber - it’s a hugbox. And it pretends any facile bullshit, expressed politely, isn’t just equally valid to a blunt explanation of why it’s fucking bullshit; it pretends the bullshit is preferable. It pretends the bullshit is desirable discourse and its condemnation is not!
