        Yep, lifting your arms can stretch the scars out and/or distort the nipple (if you’ve had nipple grafts) due to the skin being pulled at as it heals, that’s how my surgeon explained it to me anyway. The amount of time to not lift your arms depends on the type of surgery I think? For me (double incision) it was 6 weeks of T-rex arms.

            And then using scar cream and sunscreen religiously to avoid UV exposure and to sensitive scare tissue.

        Hi friend!

        I really hope you meant MtF and not mrf (cause it’s ableist af), but yeah, raising the arms can put strain on the chest muscles and the incision sites, which can slow down the healing process and increase the risk of complications according to Dr. Patrick Briggs (Mar 22nd 2023)
