As someone too young to really have used dialup this is really cool! Curious if 4800 bps was fast at the time?
4800 bits/s was fast when it came out in the 1980’s, but it was quickly obsolete. I remember getting a 28.8 kbit/s modem in the mid-90’s and thinking it was hot stuff.
Hell bud, we got it up to 56 kb per second. Internet porn was mainly pictures at that time.
I’ve heard it so many times… But I’ve never seen it displayed like that! Wow!
