Summary

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of bombing a boarding school in the Russian-occupied town of Sudzha, Kursk region, killing at least four civilians.

He claimed Moscow was targeting “even their own civilians.”

However, Russian officials blamed Ukraine for the attack, saying the missile came from Ukrainian territory and calling it a “crime.”

Sudzha has been under Ukrainian control since Kyiv’s forces crossed into Kursk last August.

I can tell you without a doubt, if Russia claims something and is sketch about it, they’re almost certainly lying and the truth is the direct opposite thing.

It’s so easy to detect at this point, I’m not even sure why they’d do it other than to save face, or to go: “Look how stupid and scared our citizens are, we can boldly lie and they can’t say or do anything about it.”

I.e: Stories like: “Man falls off balcony after shooting self twice in the head, ruled accident

Or uh, “Russian missile hits Kursk, Ukraine accused for the attack”

Part of the point is to lie so blatantly to let you know they control you and there is nothing you can do about it. Part of it is plausible deniability. Part of it is unending propaganda. Part of it is to lose trust in news sources.

I once read a report on animal psychology about a gorilla who was trained in sign language.

One day, the Gorilla ripped a sink out of the wall. When the researchers asked how it happened the Gorilla blamed their pet kitten.

The conclusion was that Gorillas were fundamentally worse at theory of mind and deception than humans. However I believe recent evidence may overturn this paradigm.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it were actually the case. Nobody can quite match the russian state in their disdain for the russian people or their lives.

I recently saw several reports on the population of Donetsk & Luhansk. Seems that polls were falsified from the start of the invasion there, and also that right now a big majority of citizens (75%) in that region, wish to join Ukraine again. They now dislike their RuZ liberators. Anyone, seen something like this too?

Edit: This info would probably have impact for the future border RF<> U.A. negotiations. The Krimm shows similar trends, but I imagine most know that already.

I am an Italian teacher for war refugees and I got several people from the occupied territories. You know what? They speak Russian but they hate Russia with a passion, tried to switch to Ukrainian as much as possible and rallied for Ukraine.

It was obvious for anyone with half a brain that the referendums were sham back then. It makes no sense to hold these after the fact that you send unidentified militia there except for trying to legitimize a scheme.

They now dislike their Rus liberators.

I’m actually more surprised people still speak Ukrainian there, I would have thought Russia put Russians there but I guess they either don’t want to go to these villages either (only the Krim) or they needed them elsewhere.

Yes sure., But I was talking about the Polls, before the referendums, and a recent one since the illegal annexation.
