Nah, even if you’re an mbin user it’s a little annoying getting redirected from your home instance so you can’t interact with the post itself. i.e. you link a lemm.ee post to a .world user
To be honest this thing should just be fixed at the Lemmy UI level. Auto completion feature saves a lot of time, asking people to edit the links every time is unrealistic

Photon does it automatically for me so it’s possible. You’re right they really should fix the janky UI.
