Muscovy sucks are great. I have two females and had one amazing male until recently. My one girl, Lady, is so sweet and the other, Mama Duck, literally fights me over her eggs. I have to pull a Skyrim and put a bucket on her head so she doesn’t know I’m taking the eggs.

They’re the best breed of waterfowl imo. Quiet and very happy most of the time. I had two aggressive males and their behavior got them killed, unfortunately. One was killed by the other birds who were defending a disabled duck I had. The second one attacked me and the other birds too many times and I couldn’t deal with it anymore. He was a danger. Those two were the only mean ones I had out of the 7 total that I’ve raised. Mama Duck doesn’t count imo because only eggs set her off. She’s lovely when her nest is empty.

Raising and caring for ducks is really fun, but so messy and expensive and high maintenance if you don’t have a natural pond on your property.

I guess the yellow coloring goes away when they grow up?

I could never. I would be overruun by ducks within three or five years.
