The New York Democrat suggested Adams is too indebted to Donald Trump to lead after the Department of Justice ordered his charges dropped.

Summary

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for NYC Mayor Eric Adams to resign or be removed after revelations that his legal team allegedly sought a deal to dismiss his corruption charges in exchange for aiding federal immigration enforcement.

Manhattan U.S. Attorney Danielle Sassoon described this as a “quid pro quo” in a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Marion Barry was convicted of felony crack possession, did 6 months in prison and then got reelected. That ship sailed long ago.
