I’m of the opinion that political violence is only worth considering is if it only affects political players. Once any innocent bystanders are involved, it becomes questionable. Harm or death of child or the elderly is repulsive. It’s never acceptable.

Yeah, I think that’s what made the political violence of the 1960s so gross - it seemed to be random acts of violence against commuters and low ranking functionaries.

Luigi’s attack on someone who was directly responsible for horrible stuff is much easier to understand.

he assassinated a general in an invisible war that CEO knew he was participating in

he just didn’t know that Luigi was also participating in it, and mocked the powers that be and showed how easy it is for the lone wolf to find its pray

…which is probably why Musk ‘has been wearing that kid as a hat ever since that CEO was shot’.

While I agree that it should be avoided if possible, making a kid watch his dad get assassinated is justifiable if that dad is 1) a literal global supervillain, and 2) using the kid as a meat shield.

Sorry Lil Timmy - it’s childhood trauma for you, or oppression for an entire planet. If you have a shred of decency, you’ll grow up to hate your dad just as much as the rest of us.
