When I posted this I hesitated. I knew it would invite trolls and racists. But the presenter is an Iranian-Canadian who is having a good time in Saudi Arabia, and felt it was still worth a share.
I can’t believe in this age where Western countries enable a genocide, ignore international laws and ICC and ICJ rulings, arrest journalists and protestors, and in the case of the US regularly execute their citizens in broad daylight on the streets; Westerners would still feel entitled and qualified to demonize and preach. But racism and hate are blind.
I have no patience for holier-than-thou hypocrites.

Take it to your room. You can’t kiss your spouse either. Different cultures, different norms. Westerners not realizing that they are only 13% of the world population and their values and norms aren’t universal.
Western values are not universal, but human rights are. The moment you start respecting those, we’ll talk about your “hospitality”.
When will you start respecting them? Your governments enabled the genocide in Gaza and have a bloody and brutal history of colonialism and imperialism.
All the US what abouts and reaching just to include Gaza in every conversation doesn’t change the facts about SA. Let’s not forget the public executions with swords that still occur. Nor slavery’s history (or modern existence) in SA and the former Ottoman Empire. Seems like the US and SA have more in common than you selectively recall.
Not just the US. The EU is also guilty in enabling the genocide in Gaza. You have no right to preach.
PS: Public executions haven’t been a thing in a long time and slavery is illegal in Saudi Arabia. Public lynchings in the US are still a thing though, they just call them police brutality.
PSS: The Ottoman Empire hasn’t existed since 1918 or so, the dynasty doesn’t exist as an imperial house anymore. While Britain still has the same government and dynasty it had during the British Empire. Similar more or less for other European nations. Many also still retain territories across the globe.
Personally, I don’t find 2015 to be all that long ago.
